Op maandag 8 april gaf de Australische architect Wendy Hastrich een eenmalige lezing in Nederland over Deep Earth Architecture. Deze werd georganiseerd door VIBA, in samenwerking met Centre for Human Emergence en VIBAlid Frank Marcus en Pieter Wackers, bekend bij de VIBA door hun presentatie en expositie over Innergy.
Deep Earth Architecture is een analytische methode, ontwikkeld door Wendy Hastrich om het land, de omgeving en de mensen te “lezen”. Met behulp van “mind maps” verzamelt Deep Earth Architecture informatie over het heden en verleden van een gebied. “Het land”, aldus Hastrich, “wil verhalen vertellen. Wie goed kijkt en luistert kan de verhalen horen en veel leren, ook over de toekomst.” Hastrichs bijzondere ontwerpen zijn gebaseerd op haar “gesprekken” met het land.
Wendy Hastrich is Bachelor of Architecture, heeft een Bachelor Degree in Education en heeft zich onder meer verdiept in quantum fysica, Kinesiologie, Feng Sui en antroposofie.

- How I tried to remedy the issues that came up for me as an architect when the Land was not co-operating

- How I applied this to my architecture
- How I do an energetic site analysis
- How that energetic site analysis can and/or could inform a building project. It is a pre-process that architects can then take and mould into their own process.
